DESCRIPTION:Join beekeepers Grace and Geoff Neale and Eric Josephson for a 3-hour beekeeping workshop on May 6th at Appleton Farms. The rewards of beekeeping are many! Honey for health and cooking\, a supply of gifts for friends and family\, and your native and non-native garden plants will be pollinated by your very own bees. In this workshop\, you’ll learn all the basics of starting and keeping a hive including wooden ware and hive components; bee biology; acquiring bees; and how and where to locate your hive. There will be beekeeping suits with veils and various other beekeeping tools to check out.
