DESCRIPTION:Have you ever collected warm eggs from the chicken coop or seen how fast sheep will run for their morning helping of grain? Join us for our NEW weekend Hay Bale Hangout and spend the day at Appleton Farms. Stop by anytime between 10AM – 1:30PM for fantastic farmyard meet and greets! Hands on activities start at 10AM and run every ½ hour. Greet our goats\, make a wool bracelet\, cuddle a calf\, farm story time\, collect chicken eggs and more! In between activities hang out in the Carriage Barn and explore our all-day learning stations or picnic outside in the Stone Paddock! \nActivities may change depending on what’s happening at the farm\, but a typical schedule will include: \n10:00: Feed the sheep \n10:30: Spin wool bracelets \n11:00: Collect chicken eggs \n11:30: Brush th goats \n12:00: Farm story time (feel free to bring a snack from home!) \n12:30: Explore the milking barn & Dairy tools \n1:00: Meet a bunny \n1:30: Brush the goats \nPlease check in at the entrance of the Carriage Barn to pay and receive your hand stamp. Become a Trustees member at the farm on the day of and come for free! Once you’ve paid\, stay for an hour or all day! Cash only please. No additional cost for adults. We will do our very best to accommodate everyone\, but some activities are first come\, first serve. \nWe have picnic tables\, bathrooms\, water\, and plenty of stroller friendly walking paths for you to enjoy. DESCRIPTION:Our wonderful Family Farm Night series Lettuce Turnip the Beet will return this summer. Concerts are held for seven consecutive Thursdays in June and July from 6 – 7:30pm. Check back soon for our 2017 lineup! \nFamily Farm Nights are held RAIN OR SHINE. If it rains\, the band will be inside the 1827 Barn. Please note that the 1827 Barn holds a maximum of 150 people. \nBring you own picnic or pre-order a boxed picnic (vendor TBD for 2017). We will also have a cash bar plus popsicles\, popcorn\, and other goodies for sale in our farm stand. Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and your favorite non-alcoholic refreshments to enjoy the show. \nNOTE ON PARKING: We love how popular Family Farm Night has become! Please note that there are 3 parking lot options: \n\n82 Ridge Street (50 spaces)\,\nMullen Field (75 spaces)\, and\nSt. Eulalia’s on Ridge Street (100 spaces).\n\nIf you drive by Mullen Field or St. Eulalia’s on the way to the farm\, we recommend parking at these locations and walking to the farm since the 82 Ridge Street lot fills very quickly. For the safety of all guests and neighbors\, parking is not allowed on Ridge Street at any time. \nFamily Farm Night is made possible by generous sponsorship from the EnKa Society. Special thanks to St. Eulalia’s Church for use of their parking lot on Thursday evenings.
