Culinary Skills Series

March 10, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

This ‘back-to-basics’ series provides a comprehensive approach to the fundamentals of cooking as we explore traditional culinary methods & techniques to enhance your knowledge, skill, and understanding in the kitchen.

This hands-on workshop offers a wide overview of essential culinary skills including understanding and execution of traditional cooking methods…..when and how to apply the proper method, along with an introduction to the 5 basic mother sauces and understanding roux, reduction, and emulsion to easily create your favorite sauces at home!

Tips on how and when to season food, kitchen tools, and proper knife skills will also be covered as we prepare delicious recipes such as Winter Crudite with Mustard Aioli, Lemon-Basil Chicken Piccata, Creamy Onion Gratin, and Roasted Eggplant & Penne Arrabbiata. Workshop includes chef instruction, printed recipes, and a light lunch in the farmhouse!

BYOB is allowed for our cooking classes. Please pre-register as space is limited!
