The Science Behind Shiitakes Workshop by Elizabeth Almeida, Owner and Founder of Fat Moon Mushrooms
Take a deep dive into both the life cycle and anatomy of the mushroom. Cultivate an understanding of the role mushrooms play in crafting a sustainable ecosystem and how Farmer Elizabeth considers environmental impact at her organic mushroom farm. Then learn how to experiment with fungi at home with a DIY mushroom grow kit!
Mycophiles, or mushroom lovers, will leave the class with increased knowledge about the growing process, as well as an appreciation for the myriad of health and ecological benefits that mushrooms bring to the table.
$30 registration fee. Option to purchase grow blocks for an additional $30 ($10 discount!) grows 2-3 pounds of mushrooms! Grow Blocks Available in: Shiitake, Oyster, or Lions Mane
