Fundamentals of Cheesemaking with Luca

At Appleton Farms our mission is to connect our guests to the land and the food that comes from it. As a working dairy farm, we have a proud history of milk and cheese.
In this class, we’re working with Italian Cheese Maker Luca Mignogna in our Farm Kitchen to master the fundamentals of cheesemaking. This a great intro class for folks of all skill levels who want a little more guidance on making cheese at home. Kids age 10+ are welcome to join this class.
You’ll learn all the basics of making fresh mozzarella and discover the history of cheese making before stretching the Mozzarella curd our cheese maker has carefully prepared. You’ll go home with your own ball of fresh mozzarella.
This class will include a sampling and discussion of Appleton Farms cheeses.
Children age 8+ are welcome to join this class with at least one adult.
